Neal Eisfeldt, a talented 15-yr old violinist is rapidly making a name for himself in the music world. Studying under pedagogue Almita Vamos and Injoo Choi, he made his solo debut at Carnegie Hall at the age of 10 and is a Merit Scholarship Fellow at both - the Music Institute of Chicago’s Academy, as well as at the Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative. Praised for his sensitive, brilliant musicianship he has been invited to perform at several recitals, fundraisers, and pre-concert performances in the US. He has soloed with several orchestras such as the Montgomery, Peoria, West Suburban, and Midwest Philharmonic, and has showcased his excellent violin virtuosity by becoming the youngest at 14 to win the Arthur D. Montzka Concerto Competition and perform the entire Tchaikovsky violin concerto with the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra. He has won top honors in several prestigious national and international competitions – most recently at the National Young Arts competition and has also been featured on NPR’s “From The Top”, on WNIU, and on WFMT’s Introductions. He has also been nominated for the Equity Arc Pathways Orchestra that will be hosted in April 2025 by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Neal has had the honor to be coached by from prominent virtuosi such as Hilary Hahn, Vadim Gluzman, Ani Kavafian, Ray Chen, Augustine Hadelich, Nurit Pacht, Grigory Kalinovsky, Julia Fischer, and Philip Setzer. He is very passionate about music composition and also enjoys cooking and playing chess in his spare time.
