MIRA KARDAN

Eighteen-year old Mira Kardan attends the Glenn Gould School as a recipient of the Temerty Foundation Scholarship, where she studies with Hans Jorgen Jensen and Andres Diaz. She was a member of the Colburn Music Academy, where she studied with acclaimed cellist Clive Greensmith. An avid chamber musician, Mira performed as a member of the Olive Piano Trio, winning the Gold Medal at the 2022 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition. Mira was the 2022 first prize winner of the Bellflower[CA] Symphony Competition, and has won numerous other prizes including first prize laureate in the 2020 Sound Espressivo Competition. She has been featured twice on the NPR nationally syndicated radio program From the Top. Mira performed in masterclasses for cellists Gautier Capuçon and Steven Isserlis, and attended the Heifetz International Music Institute and the Meadowmount School of Music. Mira performs on a Grubaugh & Seifert cello, and a Sylvan Bigot bow.
