Joshua Kováč, is a 16-year-old cellist from Johnson City, Tennessee who has been studying with renowned cellist and professor Daniel Veis since 2015. Joshua won top prizes at numerous competitions, including the Nashville Symphony Curb Concerto Competition, the MTNA National Competition, and the Sachs competition.

Joshua performed as a soloist with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra, the Kinnor Philharmonic, and the Scruffy City Orchestra. In February of 2020, Joshua appeared on NPR's radio show From The Top, and received the 2020 Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. Joshua participated in various music festivals, including the Music@Menlo and Chamber Music Institute, Chamber Music Northwest’s Young Artist Institute. In 2022, Joshua was accepted into the prestigious Kronberg Cello Masterclasses in Germany. Joshua also participated in masterclasses given by musicians Zlatomir Fung, Gilbert Kalish, Jérôme Pernoo, Matt Haimovitz, Kieth Robinson, Steven Doane, Johannes Moser, and Hans Jensen.
