Itay (15) began his Clarinet studies with Sagit Mazuz at Hassadna Conservatory, where he currently studies with Ilya Schwartz.
Itay won numerous prizes (in his age group): Unique Outstanding Scholarship for Clarinetists, America-Israel Cultural Foundation; 1st prize, Israel National Wind Competition; 1st prize, 94th Bellan International Music competition; 2nd prize, 16th Padova International Music Competition; 2nd prize, 16th Long Island International Music Competition; 2nd prize, 18th “Mercadante” International Clarinet Competition; 1st prize, 2023 American Virtuoso International Music Competition.
Itay participated in festivals and masterclasses in Israel and Spain and played for Yehuda Gilad, Antonio Saiote, Vicente Alberola, Andreas Sunden, William Chen, Tibi Cziger, Lorenzo Coppola and Sharon Kam.
Itay performed at the Jerusalem Music Center, Tel-Aviv Chamber Music Center, Noci Conference Hall (Italy), Auditorium Caja Rural (Vilavella, Spain), Solitär Hall (Salzburg), Concertgebouw Kleine-Zaal (Amsterdam). Winner of the 2022 ColOrchestra Auditions, Itay performed as soloist with the Western NY Chamber Orchestra.
