Holly Lacey, 16, studies the violin with Margaret Batjer. As a winner of the 2023 Colburn Concerto Competition, Holly performed as soloist with the Colburn Chamber Orchestra. She has also previously performed as soloist with the Los Angeles Dream Orchestra and the Colburn String Orchestra. Holly is a prior first prize winner of the California state (CAPMT) contemporary music competition, the Southern California Philharmonic Young Artists Competition, and Southern California Junior Bach Festival Complete Works Audition. Holly serves as the current Concertmaster of the Colburn Sinfonietta and previous concertmaster of the Colburn Youth Orchestra. As a member of the Nth Trio, Holly was awarded the 2023 Horzowski Trio Prize at the 50th Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and first prize in the 2023 Californiawide MTAC VOCE chamber music competition. During the summers, Holly attends the Meadowmount School of Music where she studies with Gerardo Ribeiro.
